FINAL SUBMISSION WITH EXPLANATION
For this logo, I decided to use the color theme of blue and red as there is contrast between them. Red and blue are also bright enough to capture the audience's attention. Using only one color will be too dull, while using 3 or more will make the logo too distracting, thus I stick to using only 2 colors.

I also used a strong shape in the form of intercepting ovals to form a star. This shape can differentiate itself from other logos and stick to the people's minds more. The stars from the star grew in size until it finally changes into the biggest star, signifying the theme of ' mediamorphosis '.

The poster is black in the background so as to make the foreground shine. This is to make the event seem very prestigious and important, thus also the use of orange, star and spotlights. I decide to keep this poster simple because I hope simplicity will deliver the key message of media morphosis. For my case, I want the audience to receive the message that one will evolve and grow into a star by attending this conference.

Therefore, an evolution process of a man slowing transforming into a star is shown, this message is obvious and straight forward enough. The tagline ' Be a Star. Evolve with us. ' furthers convey my message.

I use the spot light to shine on the evolution process to signify how important and glamorous it can be.

BAD Logos

This is an example of a bad logo due to the design of the logo. It is suppose to read '2012' but it cannot be seen apparently unless you make the shapes properly. The design is bright and vibrant colour but just because it cannot communicate the message, the whole purpose of the logo is defeated.

This logo is simple but bad due to the coloouring. Having a coloured text with a coloured design is not good because it is harder to see and make out the brand name. Moreover, the colour yellow is used which makes the word blend in with white background.

This is bad logo because not only is there no wording. The picture is also very suggestive. Not only that, the design is hard to interpret and tell what it is about.

At first glance, the logo seems very normal logo with a 'K'. However, after a few glancs, you will realise the 'K' is form of 2 persons in a very suggestive position. This will add insult to the brand name and be made a mockery. Though this may be completely accidental, such designs must be taken note of.

GOOD Logos

The Ford logo is good due to the vibe it creates. The silver outline and italic wording makes the brand seems more prestigous and unique. The colour compliements each other which makes the logo pleasing on the eye.

KFC logo has the traditional Colonel Sanders face on it. This make the logo a unqiue selling point. Having a character will not only personalise and add character to the logo, but it makes people remember it more efficently.

The Apple Logo revoles around simplicity. Sometimes, the best logos are the simplest one. Apple has a simple logo which makes people think more.

Again, another good logo that is simple. Nike, Having the tag line ' Just Do It ', has just a tick as its logo. However, this speaks volume about the company. Having a simple logo like this makes people think more and link to many different aspects of Nike. This broaden their image Of Nike and make them stick more to their minds - Thus making it a good logo.
